Responsibilities:
Sales:
Sourcing, selecting and negotiating with competitive suppliers to constantly strive for the best pricing for building materials
Insurance:
Operations of Insurance Department and correspondence with appointed insurance principles
Procurement:
– Liaising with supplier principles by providing competitive rates and reliable information on insurance to customers
– Ensure purchasing clerk obtain competitive rates for building materials supplies and also negotiate for competitive quotations on materials
– Check the sales invoices against the purchasing invoices
– Ensure all contra claims from contractors are in order
– Check purchase orders are fulfilled with supporting delivery orders
– Constantly conduct market research and analysis for various building materials
– To verify contractors’ orders and to ensure requirements meet architectural drawings
– Liaise with suppliers and contractors on procurement matters
– Issuance of Letters of Awards and correspondence with contractors
– To prepare regular reports for monthly meetings
– To conduct suppliers evaluation to assess suppliers’ product quality, cost and delivery performance on annually basis
– To oversee office daily operation and administrative
– Any other job responsibilities assigned by the management as and when required
Requirements:
– Minimum a Diploma, or Degree in any field
– Minimum 5 years’ experience with building materials trading company
– Knowledge of contact administration, building specification & construction and procurement practices
– Possess strong planning, organizing and coordination, analytical, problem solving and interpersonal skills
– Good command of English, Bahasa Melayu & mandarin with excellent communication and writing skills
