Technicians
Job Description:
a) Faculty of Engineering & Computing Mechanical Workshop Technician
– A Degree/Diploma in Mechanical Engineering/other closely related disciplines.
– Competent in the use of workshop machines including lathes, mills, shears, drills, welding, CNC etc as well as a large variety of powered and hand tools.
– Must be able to supervise and interact with students as individuals and in small groups.
b) Faculty of Engineering & Computing (FEC)
c) Faculty of Design & Built Environment (FDBE)
Electrical/Electronic Laboratory Technician/Laboratory Technician
A Degree/Diploma in a related discipline
– Electrical/Electronic Engineering/Telecommunications/Mechatronics/other closely related disciplines (FEC)
– Fashion Design/Graphic Design/Interior Design/other closely related disciplines (FDBE)
– Able to maintain, calibrate, test and repair electronic instruments.
– Able to use, maintain and install electronic design and simulation software.
– Able to supervise and interact with students as individuals and in small groups.
