Job Description:
Our client is a Global Leader in Engineering Services to the Oil & Gas arena. Due to continued expansion they require a Senior Technical Safety Engineer to join their team.

RESPONSIBILITIES/Requirements
Accountable for successful execution of all Safety analysis work on the project in accordance to:
– agreed Scope of Work
– agreed Company specifications and expectations and contractual requirements
– agreed schedule and budget
– systems and procedures (including PEM)
– Proactive member of the HSE in design Team and act for the project’s best development.
– Sound and good relationship to Company representative.
– Control or manage the design changes to inherently Safe design.
– Familiar with PSA requirements.
– Familiar with API and ISO Standards.
– Perform and check technical safety deliverables like
– Hazardous area classification drawing and schedule.
– Fire and gas detection layout
– FPDS.
– Fire area drawings.
– Firefighting equipment package.
– Firefighting and Escape route Plan
– Lifesaving equipment Plan
– Co-ordinate with other discipline for timely incorporation safety requirements.
– Vendor document review and attending to vendor Quires.
– Guide other discipline to raise NCR as and when required.
– Attend to technical safety quires from Client.
– Co-ordinate/advise Process discipline on Process safety issues.
– This includes responsibility for timely completion of the work, with the correct quality within the cost budget allocated.
– Self-starter and shall be able to solve the engineering problems independently.
– Able to demonstrate the ALARP principles in design.
INTERFACE AND COORDINATION
– Reports to HSE in design lead.
– Other Engineering disciplines,
– Relevant Company/Client and regulatory bodies
– Perform/manage Safety analysis Work
COMPETENCE REQUIREMENTS
– Degree in any Engineering discipline with more than 10 years’ experience, of which at least Four years at specialist level.
