Responsibilities:
– Serving as leader, mentor, coach and operations resource for procurement team through supervising, developing and monitoring performance of goals and objectives
– Planning, establishing, coordinating and implementing related policies and procedures for the effective implementation of purchasing programs according to global strategies as well as related management system
– Organizing and coordinating the development, selection and evaluating of suppliers through the implementing of supply chain management system
– Negotiating and implementing cost saving programs working through hand in hand with relevant department in-charge as well as suppliers to achieve the preset target
– Establishing a systematic and regular reviewing supplier’s performance to ensure continuous improvement in quality of goods supplied and services rendered by related supplier
– Establishing a systematic and regular reviewing supplier’s pricing, delivery and payment terms to improve the company competitive advantage
– Maintaining a well-established relationship with all active core suppliers to develop proper strategic alliances for maximizing mutual benefits
– Maintaining a good purchasing planning system to ensure un-interruption supplying of key materials in the dynamic environment
– Performing other related duties as per assignment by management from time to time
Requirements:
– Recognized degree in engineering / supply chain / business management or any related discipline
– Minimum 6 years and above working experience in manufacturing related environment preferably in MNC managerial position
– Possess very good and effective communication skills with all levels within the organization
– Good knowledge in manufacturing and supply chain management
– Well organized, detailed-oriented and able to work independently under pressure
– Computer literate and well versed with Microsoft applications. Knowledge in SAP will be an added advantage
