Full-Time System Engineer Server and Storage (Federal Territory/Kuala Lumpur, Selangor)
Job Description
Responsibilities:
– Responsible for analyzing, designing, installing, configuring, maintaining and troubleshooting servers and storage infrastructure
– Responsible for securing servers and storage by establishing and enforcing policies
Pre-sales support:-
– Scoping the technical solution to address customer requirements during pre-tender engagements.
– Create BOM, fill-up compliance table and technical proposal write-up during RFP/tender submission.
– Make sure proposed solutions are accurate and address RFP/tender compliance and customer needs.
– Involved in project implementation
– Incident and Problem management
– Prepare Preventive Maintenance Report during maintenance period
– Provide 1st level support during maintenance period.
– Escalate problems to technology principal during maintenance period
– Completes required training and personal development objectives within the assigned time frame
– Provides training to customers when needed
Job Requirement:
– At least 3 years hands-on experience designing, installing, configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting IT infrastructure with the following:
– All aspects of server hardware (Intel based)
– Storage (SAN, NAS and tapes) and backup infrastructure
– Operating systems (MS Server and LINUX)
– Virtualization (vMWare and RHEV)
– Familiarity with networking components including communications via TCP/IP
– Proficient in support tools like Visio
– ITIL knowledge is a plus
– Possess at least a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering (Computer/Telecommunication), Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent.
– Professional certifications a plus
– Good analytical and problem solving ability.
– Able to work independently and with the team, multitasking and customer oriented.
– Proficient in English and Bahasa Malaysia
