We are an international Developer based in South East Asia and part of a large publicly-listed Group of Companies. Our business interests are international and diversified into properties, agricultural, commodities, mining, utilities, and infrastructure. We are embarking on a long term large scale agriculture (rice) initiative extending from mechanized farming, processing, marketing, trading and distribution.
Job Description
We are currently sourcing for Senior Trading Managers to be based in Singapore and/or Kuala Lumpur and specializing in the procurement and trading of agro commodity (rice).
Working with the Managing Director, the Trading Managers are to develop and drive the long term commercial strategy of rice trading within the Group to ensure its profitability and delivery. Within its core responsibility is to ensure seamless supply of this commodity at accepted benchmarked quality and at competitive prices. The Trading Managers are also expected to proactively direct all aspects of the suppliers lifecycle through strategy, business engagement, tender, negotiation and contract management, ensuring the best interests of the Group are served. There must be awareness of risk in the commodity and how to mitigate commercially, contractually and operationally. The positions offered are very senior and carry full responsibilities in handling the aspects of rice trading.
Candidates are expected to be already very senior managers in agricultural commodity trading / procurement with about 5 to 8 years experience. Fluency in the English Language is compulsory. The successful candidates need to display good experience, expertise and qualifications, maturity, and leadership as well as an ability to work as a team.
