Senior Mechanical Engineer
Job Description:
Requirement:
– A Degree Holder in Mechanical Engineering with at least 10 years of working experience in a manufacturing environment. Preferably in Cement, Lime, Chemical, Petrochemical industry.
– Has strong motivational and supporting skills to build the team.
– Has a structured and hand on approach.
– As this is a head of department position, strong management skill is essential.
Responsibilities:
– To ensure that all equipment is properly designed, selected and installed.
– To ensure that the Asset register and the stock item is accurate.
– To ensure that the equipment is performing effectively and efficiently.
– To establish and monitor programs for critical equipment analysis and condition monitoring techniques.
– To review and keep record of deficiencies noted during corrective maintenance.
– To maintain and advise on the use and disposition of stock items, surplus items and rental equipment.
– To provide technical guidance and consult with the maintenance’s team concerning equipment, work related problems, advance troubleshooting and equipment redesigns.
– To develop systems and standards for maintenance operation.
– To coach, supervise, train, discipline and review the performance of subordinates.
– To participate in new schemes for plant, work improvements and project expansion.
– To liaise and work closely with overseas technical support personnel.
– To liaise directly with Production and other departments in connection with mechanical and engineering function.
