Continental Tyre AS Malaysia Sdn. Bhd. (CTAS), a fully owned subsidiary of the Continental Corporation, was founded in 2012 by acquiring the full share of the former joint-venture with SDC Tyres Sdn. Bhd. The Alor Setar plant manufactures tyres for passenger cars and light trucks as well as for two-wheelers for the ASEAN and local market. The brands manufactured locally include Continental, Viking, Barum and Dunlop. Besides the facility in Alor Setar, Continental owns a second tire plant in Malaysia in Petaling Jaya,Selangor.

Plant Engineering Manager
Job Description
– To ensure the equipment systems are capable of delivering at expected true efficiency and quality levels through optimizing existing systems, developing and Implementing plant and divisional projects , directs, coordinates and manages all activities of Plant
– Maintenance, turnaround activities and Capital Expenditure programs for the Plant Maintenance necessary to meet Business Objectives.
– Directs the overall planning of maintenance activities, Including preventive maintenance routines and major overhauls. Ensures that the required maintenance work Is resourced and completed In accordance with job schedules, agreed practices and planned periods.
– Ensures availability and reliability of the machines and all associated facilities meet the operational requirements and that all work Is undertaken In an efficient manner and according to national and International codes of best Engineering practice.
– Controls and monitors the manpower, materials and contracts budgets for normal, major maintenance and capital expenditure. Reviews expenditure, analyses variances and prepares reports to Plant Manager. Supports “new projects” and “modification” proposals from Engineering and Projects Divisions for comments, execution and commissioning
Job Requirements:
– Bachelor of Engineering with at least 10 years experience In related Industry.
– Experienced in Departmental Management, Basic Program and Investment Plan
– Have some exposure to intercultural/ international experience will be an advantage
– Knowledgeable In Cost Management, Project Planning, Coordination & Implementation and SAP PM
– Capable In leading and steering a team, Innovative and have a clear and open communication
– Willing to be located In Alor Setar
