Data Controller
Job Description:
Responsibilities:
– Manage and control all incoming and outgoing data, documents and geological samples
– Liaise with other parties to receive/deliver all types of data
– File and index all related documents, drawings and digital media
– Prepare and keep track on the submissions of data and geological samples to PETRONAS, partners and the head office
– Establish and maintain the data control/filing system for exploration and new venture projects
– Plan, establish and improve the data and geological samples storage system including the external storage room
– Manage and control the transfer of geological samples among offshore, laboratories and storage
– Establish and maintain data and document control procedures
– Understand the role of various G&G software and organize the software properties
– Perform any other tasks which are related to managing data, documents, reference materials, transmittals and digital media
Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in Science/Engineering with major in Geophysics, Geodesy, IT or any other related subjects
– Minimum 3 years’ experience in similar oil & gas data and document management
– Familiar with geophysical and geodetic data type used in the oil & gas industry
