Academic Manager
Job Description
– Report to the Regional Director for the execution of the academic policies of School
– Responsible tor manpower planning and allocation of teaching staff and lesson planning for the School
– Gather data and develop reporting tools to assess teacher turnover
– Develop plans to improve language and teaching skills of teachers
– Update and maintain all training records and support the school to organise and subject coordination meetings
– Oversee academic matters of the school including interpreting the IGCSE syllabus and examinations, preparing exam schedules, implementation of internal and external exams
– Assist in the planning and development of academic programs and pedagogy, and provide guidance to subject heads and teachers to ensure that proper procedures are maintained
– Provide support in incorporating emerging technologies across the curriculum to enhance teaching and learning
– Provide support provision to School Head in the development, implementation and further evaluation of school’s Strategic Development Plan Advise on best practices and standards of an International School and other information that is necessary tor the performance of the School’s functions
Requirements:
– Must have a minimum qualification of Bachelor’s degree and a Post Graduate Teaching Qualification
– At least 6 years of school management experience
– Knowledge in MOE Policies, Academic Practices & Procedures Manual and School Operations Manual
– Experience of British Education, systems and examinations
